Vale Royal Borough Council are looking to build a new leisure facility. The new building will house under one roof, modern and efficient facilities including:
· 25 metre pool with spectator accommodation.
· 12 metre teaching pool
· 50 station fitness gym
· 600 seat multi-purpose performance hall
· A separate Dance and Performance Studio
· Bars and Café bar
· Cyber Cafe and Internet access
· 2 Squash Courts.
Following an extensive and varied consultation period the project is well under way with the following anticipated key dates.
· Detail Design drawings preparing for Planning application – March 2007.
· Preparation of Contract specification and Tenders – March 2007.
· Confirmation of price and final decision to proceed – October 2007.
· Start on Site – November 2007.
· Winsford Lifestyle Centre Opens for business – Jan 2009.
This £10 million plus investment will demonstrate the Borough Council’s commitment to Leisure and Recreation in Vale Royal and to Winsford in particular.
